This site has just about everything you need to know about the Civil War. Documents, battles, official records, weapons, and other things. This is the best site I have found for Civil War information.

This site provides a detailed timeline from the start of the South seceding to the final surrenders. A useful site for both teachers and students.

6. Battle Summaries. (CWSAC). Retrieved on April 23, 2011.
This is a website dedicated to all of the Civil War battles. Every battle is listed by the state it took place in. When you click the link it gives you information about casualties, a description, and which side won that battle.
